Eberechi Eze says the "plan" for him at Crystal Palace was his main reason for joining the club.
The midfielder's left Queens Park Rangers for a fee reported to be £19.5million (€21.75m), signing a five-year deal at Selhurst Park.
Eze was won of the most impressive players in the Championship last season, playing all 46 of their league games and scoring 14 goals along the way.
The 22-year old is Palace's second signing of the summer, following the free transfer from West Brom of defender Nathan Ferguson.
"We are assembling the pieces of our jigsaw with regard to bringing in some fresh, young players to our squad who will provide the quality and energy we have highlighted as being necessary for us to take the next steps forward," Palace manager Roy Hodgson told CPFC.co.uk.
"He is an ambitious and dedicated young man whose future looks extremely bright. I am delighted that it will be with us."

Eze says it was the vision for him at Selhurst Park that convinced him to swap West London for South.
"It was the plan that was set out for me and what they’ve said about me and it’s the most in-line with what I feel about myself," he told the club's website.
"For me, that’s the most important thing – more than ‘what the club is’ or whatever. I think the plan they have for me and where they see me, that’s what it is.
"It’s the position they want me to play, their goals, where they want to be, where they want to push, what they want to become, how they see me fitting in that system... The style of football they want to play suits me.
"It’s perfect for me. It’s a great opportunity and a great place to come."
Sure to make those around him feel prematurely old, Eze says a current pair of Palace players have helped form the player he's become.
"I remember watching [Yannick] Bolasie and Zaha in the Championship and just thinking: ‘That’s where you want to be, that’s the goal,’" Eze said.
"It’s a great opportunity for me to come and show what I’m about, and to follow in their steps."
