Neil Farrugia can finally see some light at the end of the tunnel after a frustrating few weeks since joining Shamrock Rovers.
The midfielder made the switch from UCD at the end of June but he has yet to kick a ball for the Hoops as he has been sidelined with a long-term hamstring injury since late May.
Rovers head coach Stephen Bradley had some positive news on the ex-Student ahead of their SSE Airtricity League clash with Waterford on Tuesday.
"Joey O'Brien and Neil Farrugia are back training so hopefully Neil is going to be in contention fairly soon," said Bradley. "Tomorrow is too early for him but he's got the all clear. Other than that we're fully fit. Ronan Finn is suspended."
Bradley will be hoping to make it back-to-back wins against the Munster club, following last week's win at the RSC, to narrow the gap on the Premier Division leaders Dundalk, albeit with Rovers having played two games more.
The champions are in action on Monday night, at home against UCD.
"It's another good game to look forward to," added Bradley. "We're looking forward to getting out on the pitch again and we have good momentum going into it.
"Even though we won well out there recently we have to recognise that Waterford had some chances in that game and we need to make sure that we're ready for the best Waterford there is.
"We'll just concentrate on Waterford, our schedule has been like this for the last two months. The players have coped with it really well and I'm sure tomorrow night will be no different"
Rovers come into the game at Tallaght Stadium off the back of a 4-0 win against Drogheda United in the FAI Cup last Friday night.
"It was a really good win," said Bradley. "I felt we played well especially in the second half, got four goals and kept a clean sheet so it was a good night. It's all about being in the hat for the next round and we did that with a good performance so I'm happy."
The Tallaght club were paired with Galway United in the quarter-finals with the First Division side having home advantage.
