Newcastle United midfielder Moussa Sissoko has been given permission to leave the France squad as he completes a reported move to Tottenham today.
The 27-year-old enjoyed a sparkling European Championships campaign in June and now looks set to return to the English top flight after Newcastle's relegation in May.

The tweet from the French national team's official account says that Sissoko has been given permission by France manager Didier Deschamps to complete a move, without specifying what club he was moving to.
Newcastle have already lost Georginio Wijnaldum this summer to Liverpool, but have brought in Irish striker Daryl Murphy from Ipswich.
Sissoko may not return to the team in time for France's friendly with Italy on Thursday, but is expected to be part of Les Bleus squad to face Belarus on Monday in their World Cup 2018 qualifying campaign.
