Jose Mourinho says Chelsea’s victory at Stoke last night was worth more than three points.
Goals in either half from John Terry and Cesc Fabregas gave the Blues a 2-0 win at the Britannia Stadium.
“We adapted well to them,” said Chelsea manager Mourinho.
“It’s a victory that means a bit more than three points. Not just because it’s difficult but also because to win here you need to put more than your quality. The players were a team.
“They coped well with a difficult style. Our creative players, they were not afraid. Our defensive players, they were very solid.
“Only with a great team performance it’s possible to be successful against Stoke.”
Mourinho also hailed goalscorer Terry, and let Phil Bardsley off reasonably lightly for the Stoke man’s crunching tackle on Eden Hazard.
