Roberto Martinez's time as Everton manager looks to be coming to an end in the coming weeks.
The Liverpool side have struggled in the Premier League this season and currently lie in 11th place, over 30 points behind champions Leicester City. After three seasons with the club, Martinez's tenure looks likely to end in a whimper.
Everton are one of the best supported teams in Ireland, with internationals Seamus Coleman and James McCarthy helping make up the backbone of the team. If the bookies are correct, it looks like Republic of Ireland manager Martin O'Neill may be about to replace Martinez in Goodison Park.
Since the start of the month, O'Neill's odds have tumbled from 40/1 with many bookmakers, and can now be found as the short-priced favourite to take the reigns on Merseyside.

O'Neill has not managed in the Premier League since March 2013 when he was sacked by Sunderland. He left the team lying just outside the relegation zone.
The Derry native's contract runs out with the FAI at the end of Euro 2016, but he has yet to sign an extension. Despite the lack of a new contract, O'Neill has insisted there are no issues with the delay.
Ireland return to action later this month on May 27th, with a friendly against The Netherlands in Dublin.
