Marouane Fellaine abandoned the celebrations for Marcus Rashford's match winning goal yesterday, to rescue a spectator who was crushed against an advertising board.
Rashford's injury-time goal clinched the victory for Jose Mourinho's side, sending the away supporters into rapturous applause, with many of them pouring out onto the pitch. But the fanfare almost resulted in serious injury for one female supporter.
Fellaine spotted the woman pinned up against the advertisement and broke away from his teammates to help her. The Belgian midfielder, who suffered a back injury during the game, quickly informed the match stewards before stretching over the barrier to protect her from further harm.
Footage has also emerged of the woman in obvious distress and being pulled from a pack of Manchester United fans near the pitch.
