Manchester United fans have been widely criticised for singing about the Hillsborough tragedy during the side's 2-0 loss to Liverpool in Anfield on Thursday night.
96 Liverpool fans died as a result of overcrowding in the Leppings Lane end of Hillsborough during an FA Cup semi-final in 1989. There is currently a second inquest into those deaths taking place in Warrington over 26 years after the tragedy took place.
Chants could be heard from the Anfield Road end, where the Manchester United fans were based during the game that clearly referenced the Hillsborough tragedy.
Liverpool won the game 2-0 ahead of next Thursday's second leg in Old Trafford.
"The S*n was right, you're murderers" very audible from United fans. UEFA should definitely take action.

Anyone singing about either tragedy associated to either club i’m doesn’t represent majority of fans or clubs themselves. Simple.

Manchester United fans let themselves down spectacularly with that chant. Plenty of saddened head shaking in the press box.

#MUFC fans chanting "26 years", mocking #LFC's title-less years. You see, that's good. Earlier Hillsborough-related stuff was not. Pitiful
