Manchester United have confirmed they've agreed a fee with Sporting for Bruno Fernandes.
The Portugal international will fly to Manchester for a medical and to agree personal terms and it's understood he'll cost up to €80m.
United upped their bid for the attacking midfielder after reported interest from Spanish champions Barcelona.
The 25-year-old scored 64 goals in his 137 games for Sporting and has 19 caps for Portugal.
"Manchester United is delighted to announce it has reached agreement with Sporting Clube de Portugal for the transfer of Bruno Fernandes," United said in a statement this evening.
'The deal is subject to a medical and the agreement of personal terms.
"A further announcement will be made in due course."

Sporting have wished their captain well on Twitter:
"Some are born great, some achieve greatness, and some have greatness thrust upon them".
"Obrigado Capitao. Para sempre Leao (Thanks captain. Forever Lion)".
United are also close to signing Southend's England under-20 goalkeeper Nathan Bishop.
Bishop was left out of Southend's squad for their 3-1 loss to Doncaster earlier this week ahead of the potential move.
