Manchester United defender Luke Shaw has said he wants to help a fan threatened with a ban from the club for throwing a green and gold scarf at the player.
The colours have come to symbolise United fans' desire to remove the Glazer family from the club, and the fan, Shaun Logan, is allegedly being threatened with a ban.
Was thrown to Luke in a good manner. Nothing aggressive. Was told by the Stewards I’m facing a 3 year ban. All paid up for Gdańsk next week and this looks like it could be the end of the road for me. Was a peaceful gesture that was taken out of context. Luke shaw laughed...🇾🇪 https://t.co/oboyPBKjB5

Shaw responded to the tweet with a personal message to Logan to reassure him he will do all he can to prevent that eventuality.
"I understand completely, first match back at old Trafford , emotions are high," Shaw wrote.
"I know there was nothing aggressive towards what you did. I will try my best to speak with someone and sort it out."
Luke Shaw and Glazers
Luke Shaw became an unlikely focal point for the anti-Super League protests in April.
Alongside United captain Harry Maguire, Shaw reportedly confronted club CEO Ed Woodward over the club's failure to properly inform players of their Super League plans.
As news of the breakaway competition broke, Manchester United were engaged in a Premier League clash with Burnley at Old Trafford. Coming out 3-1 winners, it was left to manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to field the first raft of questions about the Super League on the club's behalf.
By Monday morning, an emergency meeting with Ed Woodward revealed that many United players were left 'seriously unimpressed' with how they had been treated. Furthermore, they did not necessarily approve of the club's plans to join a breakaway competition.
According to more recent reports in the Daily Mail, it is believed that captain Harry Maguire spoke up on his teammates' behalf, after similar approaches from Shaw.
