Jordan Henderson had been struggling to overcome a chronic foot injury that kept him sidelined for the last three months and restricted him to just four appearances so far this season. According to reports, Henderson exhausted every possible avenue to promote the healing. He sought the advice of some England rugby experts and even spoke to members of the Australian cricket team.
He also spoke to Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher who suffered a similar injury during his playing days. But the efforts seemed to be leading Henderson to more problems after he broke the other foot while trying to play through the pain.
In the end, receiving a few injections and taking in some tips from ballet schools proved to be the ideal tonic for Henderson. Heel related injuries are commonly found among ballet dancers which would indicate why their input proved to be such a progressive measure for the 25 year-old.

Speaking about his struggle with injury, Henderson said:
'I haven’t been nice to be around for the last three months. My family have been brilliant, as the staff here have been too. I think they understand that I am not used to it. I spoke to Carra briefly and we also spoke to quite a few experts and doctors all over the world to try and nip it in the bud. I went to New Jersey when we went down the nerve route, I came back and that is when I went training to try it and broke my other foot. Then I saw a couple of specialists in London and Chris Morgan has spoken to a few people worldwide.'
Henderson added that the prolonged nature of the injury left him worrying about how long it would take before he could get back on the pitch.
'That’s been the most difficult part, never knowing how long it would be before I was back, especially considering I haven’t missed too many games over the past few years.'
