Klopp hails Salah as 'unbelievable' as he gives finishing masterclass

Liverpool manager Jürgen Klopp praised his side after their impressive 3-1 Premier League win over West Ham on Sunday evening.

The win at the London Stadium marks their second victory away from home in just 72 hours and it also moves them up to third in the table.

The win highlighted that the champions certainly haven't given up their title defence just yet with the performance similar to what we've become accustomed to watching from them over the last year.

Speaking to Sky Sports at full-time Klopp agreed that they've refound their form and pointed out where he thought the game was won for them.

"Great game. A very professional game, a controlled game against a usually flying side. In the first half, we created something, maybe not enough, but we were patient enough and controlled the game.

"The little adjustments at half-time, offensive positioning slightly different, and it paid off and we scored wonderful goals - all three were unbelievable and I'm really happy.

"You can only play direct when you're in the right positions. We had too often in the first-half all three midfielders on the wrong side of the ball. That means when [Xherdan] Shaqiri turned he had no option to pass

apart from passing back so we had to change that."

Mo Salah scored twice for Liverpool meaning he'll finish the season with more than 20 to his name for the fourth consecutive time, the first player to do so since Alan Shearer.

The second Salah goal was a particular piece of brilliance, coming from a West Ham corner with Trent Alexander Arnold crossing to Shaqiri who laid off to Salah before the Egyptian controlled with his left before finishing with his right.

Klopp had only praise for his striker after the game, summing up the finish he said,

"The first touch was unbelievable and the fine finishing touch as well."

The win, which follows victory over Tottenham in a similar fashion during the week suggests Liverpool have found their spark again as they look to retain their title.

Klopp feels the mentality of his side, which he says never falterd is important as they look ahead to their midweek game against Brighton at Anfield.

"These boys are a really good group, they always were since we worked together, and they are not happy not being successful, not winning football games but they always have the right attitude.

"They need the right information too though, I said it after the Burnley game, this was my fault and now we've found a way for us again to be uncomfortable again for other teams.

"Brighton will be a completely different game, they're a possession team so we'll have to run a lot and close gaps so it's interesting."
