For about three years in the mid-2000s, Ronaldinho was the best footballer in the world.
But even during his peak years at Barcelona, he had a reputation for being fond of the occasional party.
A World Cup winner in 2002, Ronaldinho was also part of Brazil's 2008 Olympic football squad that won the bronze medal.
Boxer Kenneth Egan won silver for Ireland at those Games and bumped into the Brazil legend briefly on the way out of the Olympic village while on his way to a weigh-in.
"He was being carried in," Kenneth Egan recalled on Off The Ball when Joe Molloy put it to him, before adding with amusing emphasis: "Carried in!"
"He was well-oiled. I gave him a high-five. But I was going to weigh in for the Olympic final, he was obviously coming back from a piss-up. It's great though, isn't it."
