Ireland's playoff hero Jon Walters says he wants Leicester City to go all the way this season as "it shows you money doesn't buy you everything".
The Stoke City striker, who is the centre of the Boys in Green's hopes at Euro 2016, was speaking to Off The Ball's Joe Molloy today.
As he described exactly what it's like to play against the surprise current Premier League leaders - reserving praise for the "frightening" work-rate of N'Golo Kante - he says that he "really hopes they go on to win it just to mix everything up in the league".
"It shows you money doesn't buy you everything," he said.
Walters, who talked about signing a new Stoke deal taking him to 2018 in an increasingly competitive squad, also spoke about the difficulties in a more nomadic part of his career between 2003 and 2007 which saw him play with Hull, Crewe, Barnsley, Scunthorpe, Wrexham and Chester before making a move to Ipswich where he stayed for three seasons until a 2010 transfer to Stoke City.

"My daughter wasn't too well when we were at Hull. We got promoted after the first year and I didn't play much. I was living in a hospital, really.
"It happens to a lot of people once you have children, your mindset changes in a way and everything's for your children. So I think you grow up a bit when you have kids and with having one that wasn't so well, I asked to leave Hull at the time and moved back near home at Wrexham. It was half an hour from where a lot of my family was. We asked to come back because my daughter wasn't well and signed for Wrexham."
