Jon Walters has been named Men's Senior International Player of the Year at tonight's Three FAI awards.
The Republic of Ireland striker, who scored twice in the crucial 2-0 playoff win over Bosnia last November, beat international colleagues Robbie Brady and Wes Hoolahan to the award.
Denise O'Sullivan was named Senior Women's International Player of the Year.

Shane Long took home the International Goal of the Year for the winning goal against Germany in the Euro 2016 qualifiers, while Brady was awarded Young International Player of the Year in a campaign which saw him score against Bosnia in the playoff first leg.

The 2016 Hall of Fame Award went to former Ireland striker Tony Cascarino, as Brighton's Richie Towell was Airtricity League Player of the Year for his achievements with Dundalk last season.
