John Hartson: Ireland "huffed and puffed a little bit" at Euro 2016

John Hartson believes Ireland "huffed and puffed a little bit" at Euro 2016 and believes Wales will be less worried about Martin O'Neill's side than the Boys in Green side will be of his own nation when they go head-to-head in the 2018 World Cup qualifiers.

The ex-Wales and Celtic striker joined Off The Ball and new co-presenter Kevin Kilbane at the Coppers Roadshow in association with BETDAQ.

"I thought they huffed and puffed a little bit," he said of Ireland's Euro 2016 performance.

"I think it's an improvement but I've spoken to Martin since and he unearthed some good young players so good luck to them. I think they're going to be more worried about Wales than we are of them in the qualifiers. That's an opinion."

He also pointed out that "you won one game in four" in contrast to Wales who reached the semi-finals for the first time in their history.

Hartson gave his take on how Aaron Ramsey can translate his Wales form to Arsenal in the Premier League and also looked back on his own career.
