"Shane Long is quick and has got a bit of history in those situations."
That was Crystal Palace manager Alan Pardew as he criticised Southampton and Ireland striker Shane Long, who won a penalty against his team in Wednesday night's EFL Cup third round tie.
But while Pardew might not be happy about the refereeing decision or Long, John Giles has little patience for the Palace manager's complaints.
"I tell you, he's one of the biggest moaners in the game, Pardew. And he's not the only one," said John on Off The Ball.
"They're totally blinkered, managers. Most of them. But Pardew is very sour."
He also feels that for nearly all managers now, it's a case of "when in doubt, blame the referee".
