Everton midfielders James McCarthy and Darron Gibson are both doubts for Ireland's upcoming World Cup qualifiers against Georgia and Moldova.
The duo are currently out of action for their club after undergoing surgery for groin injuries, leaving them both with a short recovery period ahead of the next qualifier clash against Georgia at the Aviva Stadium on October 6th.
A trip to Moldova follows just three days later.
Everton manager Ronald Koeman's assessment of the return timescale suggests that both players are doubtful for next month's qualifiers.
"No because Darron also had a groin operation and he will be out the normal time as will James McCarthy too which will be around three weeks ago," he said.
