Lionel Messi was chosen as the Golden Ball winner for the 2014 World Cup.
The award is handed out to the player voted as the tournament's best, however, it came after a losing effort against Germany in the final.
Germany's goalkeeper, Manuel Neuer, won The Golden Glove award for his goal-keeping skills.
But Messi couldn't hide his disappointment when he received his trophy.
Winning meant nothing to him following Argentina's loss in the final to Germany.
Messi reportedly commented on his award saying: "I just wanted to win the World Cup. This award means nothing to me now"
