'It's the biggest game' | Rooney on relegation decider

Derby County boss Wayne Rooney is facing the biggest game of his short managerial career as the Rams play Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday with both clubs at risk of relegation.

A run of one win from the past 13 games has dropped Rooney's side from a comfortable position to a dangerous one entering the final game of the season.

Victory will secure Derby's Championship status but a draw would leave them hoping Rotherham fail to win at Cardiff, while defeat would send them to the third tier for the first time since 1986.

"It's important to so many in the city, to everyone connected with Derby."

In a more humorous exchange,  Rooney remembered how he watched 'Sister Act' to relax before the 2008 Champions League final and suggested he might do something similar before the crunch clash with Sheffield Wednesday.

"I think I have spoken openly about the Champions League final in Moscow when I lied in my bed and watched Sister Act to relax," he said.

"I'll probably do something similar, lie in my bed. I won't watch Sister Act again but I might watch a different movie."

Regardless of the result on Saturday, Rooney also made clear that he sees his future at Derby next season.

"My future is with Derby," he said.

"I am never one to walk away from a challenge.

"I want to push this club forward and get us closer to getting into the Premier League. I feel we can have a real impact on this team."
