When former Manchester United and England captain Bryan Robson looks back on his time managing Middlesbrough in the 1990s, many of the memories are positive.
Robson presided over a team that contained plenty of flair players like Juninho and Fabrizio Ravanelli which brought a vibrancy to a Premier League landscape that was so different.
Team 33 had the pleasure of interviewing the ex-Man United legend on our show and he talked about the ups and great downs of the fabled 1996-97 season which saw Boro reach two Cup finals and also face relegation to the First Division after having three points deducted for postponing a match against Blackburn in 1996 due to an illness crisis which engulfed the club.
"It was a ridiculous decision," said Robson of the FA's punishment. He also told us how far he felt the club could have gone had they stayed up.
He also gave a detailed insight into how Middlesbrough helped the foreign players to settle into life in the North East and what he thought of Ravanelli's very public criticism of the club at a time when they were deep in the relegation dogfight.
And he also had a laugh with us about the day he thought Roy Keane was ringing him...only to find out it was me!
