Spanish club Real Sociedad have confirmed David Moyes as their new manager.
He will replace Jagoba Arrasate who was sacked with the San Sebastian side in poor form. They are languishing in 15th in the Spanish league this season, although they beat champions Atletico Madrid at the weekend.
Moyes was believed to be the La Liga club's first choice and it had been said that the former Everton and Manchester United manager was deliberating whether to start afresh at the Basque side.
But Spanish football writer Guillem Balague reported that a deal had been done and that Moyes has signed a contract lasting a year and a half:

The announcement was quickly followed by confirmation from Sociedad, saying Moyes had been chosen for the role.

Sociedad played in last season's Champions League against Moyes's Man United team.
