Is it now or never for Jogi Loew and Germany?

Over the past decade, the German national side has slowly become a neutral's favourite.

But they have also developed the reputation as bottlers in the latter stages of tournaments.

Off the back of recent success for the Bundesliga and German players, however, this is the time for Die Mannschaft to deliver the goods.

Gernot Bauer, the Chief Reporter of Sky Sports News Germany joined us on our debut Team 33 World Cup podcast to tell us why Germany feel this is their time to claim international football's greatest prize.

Bauer also tells us why the traditional German striker is a dying breed, what Germans really think of Loew and why Sami Khedira is the only player the manager would make an exception for at a World Cup.

Plus Gernot tell us exactly what he thinks of Jogi's lucky blue jumper!

Listen to the full Team 33 Episode one below, which includes a retrospective on cult World Cup songs and a look back at Diego Maradona's doping disgrace in 1994.
