Ireland's win over World Champions Germany has seen the team rise 12 places in the latest FIFA World Rankings.
Martin O'Neill's side are now ranked 42nd in the World, sandwiched between Tunisia and Iran. Only Turkey, Paraguay and Serbia rose more places in the past month.
Bosnia and Herzegovina, who play Ireland in the Euro 2016 play offs in the next fortnight have risen ten places to 20th in the World Rankings.
Northern Ireland have entered the top 30 in the rankings for the first time in their history. Qualification for Euro 2016 has seen Michael O'Neill's side move to 29th in the rankings.
Belgium have moved to the number one position for the first time in their history. Despite Germany's loss to Ireland, the World Champions remain in second place.
