Dundalk and Shamrock Rovers are joint top of the Airtricity League Premier Division after tonight's games.
Dundalk survived a late scare when Ciaran Kilduff scored in the 83rd minute to claim a 2-1 win at Wexford Youths while Rovers were 1-0 winners over Finn Harps thanks to a 73rd minute penalty from Gary McCabe.

The performance of the night was from Cork City, who claimed a crushing 6-0 win over Longford Town tonight at Turner's Cross, with Steven Beattie having a night to remember with a hat-trick.

In the other big game, St Pat's got a 3-0 win over Bohemians in their Dublin derby at Richmond Park.

Derry City also claimed a 3-0 win over their hosts Bray Wanderers with Rory Patterson scoring twice, while Sligo Rovers and Galway United claimed a 1-1 draw.
