Alan Judge has posted a positive update from his hospital bed on Twitter after suffering a nasty leg break which will rule him out of this summer's European Championships.
Judge, who had been impressing for Brentford in the Championship, recently featured for Ireland during their Euro 2016 warm-up friendly against Switzerland.
The 27-year-old took to Twitter to thank his fans and professional colleagues for their support during this difficult time in his career.
"First of all, I would like to thank everyone for their messages of support from the Bees fans, players I have and have not played with and from fans of other clubs around the country" he said.
"It has been very touching to me and my family. This is football, things like this happen, that’s life.
"I will be back stronger and much better than I have been before. I will achieve my dream one way or the other. Nothing will hold me back."
