"I sent their entire country into retirement" - Zlatan Ibrahimovic on knocking Denmark out of the play offs

Two goals from Zlatan Ibrahimovic have helped send Sweden to Euro 2016 after their play off victory over neighbours Denmark last night.

Goals either side of half time in Copenhagen gave Sweden a 2-0 lead (3-1 on aggregate) before Denmark scored two goals in the final ten minutes.

Ibrahimovic is expected to retire from international football after the European Championships. His first goal was a trademark finish from inside the box. He even began to celebrate the goal before it crossed the line.

Zlatan's second goal was a tremendous free kick after 76 minutes that meant Denmark needed four goals in the final 14 minutes.

Speaking to Swedish television after the game, Ibrahimovic was in a defiant mood. "There was the thought that this would send me into retirement. I sent their entire country into retirement". Denmark's manager Morten Olsen stepped down after the game. He had been in charge since 2000.
