Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal says their start to the Premier League season has not been good enough.
Despite spending vast sums to supplement the squad during the summer transfer window, the Reds find themselves 10th in the table, with 13 points from 10 games.
Van Gaal says it is affecting him personally.
"I feel lousy for the fans and the board because they have a great belief in me, in my staff and my players," he said.
The former Barcelona, Ajax, Bayern Munich and Holland coach also admits that Man United are in a three-year transition period.
"The process shall take more than one year; it shall take three years."
