Harry Redknapp believes Sam Allardyce is the right man to manage England.
The former Tottenham and West Ham boss was overlooked for the job when Roy Hodgson was appointed.
Redknapp also told Newstalk's Off The Ball recently that he was interested in the England job and would be "perfect" for it.
But reacting to Allardyec's appointment, he told Sky Sports News, the new man in charge of the national team has some good qualities.
"He's a strong character. Nothing will deter him. He'll give it everything he's got. Listen, Roy's had a go, Roy's a good lad [but] it didn't work in two Euros and a World Cup, disaster, Capello one of the great managers in the world before that, it didn't work," he said.
