If Tottenham do go onto win this season's Premier League title, Harry Kane's goals will be one of the key factors that secured glory.
His double against bottom side Aston Villa this afternoon has fired Spurs to within two points of leaders Leicester City, having played a game more.
At the end of a dominant first half which saw Erik Lamela strike the post, Kane, who is sporting a mask to protect a recently broken nose, turned in Dele Alli's pass to make it 1-0 on 45 minutes.

Three minutes after the break, Kane scored again to make it 2-0 and all but secure the points as another Alli ball set him up.
Villa did have late chances but Tottenham held on for a crucial three points.
Kane, though, was rewarded for a performance which saw him attempt seven shots, with four on target, as he led the line with his usual excellent movement.
The goals provided by Alli's passes also highlights the fine on-field relationship he has built with his fellow youthful England colleague - a partnership which has resulted in four assists already setting up Kane goals this season.
