Ciaran Kilduff's late equaliser last night in the Netherlands handed Dundalk a valuable point from their Europa League opener against AZ Alkmaar.
Fans in the away end of the AFAS Stadion descended into complete delirium as the ball hit the back of the net, knowing they had just witnessed history.
And it wasn't just the fans who got caught up in the raucous celebration.
Louth based radio station, LMFM, carried commentary of the game last night with the commentary team of Adrian Taaffe and David Crawley keeping an eye on proceedings for those who couldn't travel to support the team.
At this stage in the game, Dundalk were a goal down and reduced to ten men with the dismissal of captain Stephen O'Donnell.
In the 89th minute, Daryl Horgan had the chance to lift the ball into the box from about 20 yards from goal.
His freekick was met by Kilduff. The ball header was accurate. Dundalk were level.
"YEAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH GET IN THERE YE LAD YE!" can be heard clear as a bell over the noise of the celebrating fans.
They continued: "It's in the back of the net, Ciaran Kilduff! Kilduff who has come on is the Dundalk hero! Dundalk may have been a man down, may have been a goal down but they are level!"
Crawley finished with: "Get in there ye lad ye".
