The English Football League are still investigating Leicester City amid a potential breach of Financial Fair Play rules in their 2013-14 promotion campaign.
The Premier League leaders returned to the top flight at the end of that season and are just three victories away from winning the league for the first time in their history.
But according to The Guardian, the Football League are investigating a sponsorship deal with Trestellar Ltd which provided an increase in revenue and reduced the club's losses.

Commercial and sponsorship income immediately jumped by a £11 million to £16 million which according to The Guardian, "substantially reduced Leicester’s loss, which was otherwise likely to have resulted in a large fine under the Football League’s then new financial fair play rules by which all clubs agreed to cap losses at £8m to try to reduce excessive spending on players’ wages".
The Guardian reports that some other clubs are "furious" because they argue that "they reduced spending on players to comply with the rules while Leicester overspent on players’ wages, achieved promotion and have since resisted any sanctions".
