The 2022 World Cup final will be played on December 18th in Qatar.
FIFA has now confirmed the date, meaning there definitely will be the first winter World Cup in history.
However, the possibility of a winter tournament is opposed by the Premier League, among others.
Walter De Gregorio, Director of Communications for football's world governing body says it is the best choice for several reasons.
"It's the national day in Qatar so it fits perfectly and you have enough time to do your Christmas shopping. This was a big issue," he said.
