FIFA has confirmed that Germany legend Franz Beckenbauer is being investigated by its ethics committee.
Football's world governing body has revealed details of a number of individuals who are subject to proceedings.
Beckenbauer, who headed the organising committee for Germany's 2006 World Cup bid, has denied allegations that a slush fund was used to buy votes for the country.
FIFA has confirmed that "proceedings relating to the two officials Ángel María Villar Llona and Franz Beckenbauer have already been passed on to the adjudicatory chamber".
FIFA has also said that everything will be done as far as possible to make a decision on the fate of Michel Platini and Sepp Blatter within the 90-day suspension period placed on the pair.
A payment from Blatter to Platini is being scrutinised.
