The English football league saw the fastest goal of the season scored today in League 2, but it won't go down in the record books.
Barnet went a goal up against Newport County thanks to a strike from John Akinde after 23 seconds but due to the September rain, the game had to be abandoned at half-time, meaning that the goal won't count.
23 - John Akinde's goal after 23 seconds was the earliest scored in English league football this season. Rapid.

It is something that will surely infuriate the Bees faithful as they looked in control of the game, with Jean-Lois Akpa-Akpro also hitting the bar for the visitors.
