The FAI have given SSE Airtricity teams €100,000 amongst 20 clubs in an effort to help the clubs achieve five-year strategic plans.
The decision was agreed upon by John Delaney along with the FAI board following a meeting between the FAI and the Premier Clubs Association ahead of the FAI's AGM.
"Strategic Planning is a fundamental part of any business and the need for all clubs to have five-year viable strategic plans can not be underestimated," said Fran Gavin, FAI Director of Competitions.
"We have 20 independent businesses operating in the SSE Airtricity League and they all have individual priorities and goals. The Consultation Process Report outlined the need for our clubs to have clear strategies in areas of sport, business and community."
The news comes on the back of the Conroy Report last September, which recommended an entirely new approach in relation to prize money, use of stadia, negativity in public and promotion of the league.
