Former Everton and Manchester United manager David Moyes has refused to rule himself out of becoming the next Celtic manager.
Moyes, who won a league title with Celtic as a player, was speaking to Sky Sports on Wednesday evening after his former side Everton lost 4-0 to Liverpool in the Merseyside derby. The 52-year-old is the favourite to replace Ronny Delia at the end of the season, after it was announced on Wednesday morning that the Norwegian will leave in the summer.
When asked about being linked with the job, Moyes was quick to praise the club's fans, but refused to commit on his future until the summer. "Celtic is a brilliant football club, great football club. Unbelievable support and fan base. One of the biggest in the World. I'm going to wait 'til the summertime and make my decision in the summertime so there's no hurry."
The former Real Sociedad manager has been out of work since leaving the Basque club last November, but he hopes to get back on the managerial merry-go-round in the coming months. "There are a lot of jobs that would interest me. As I said, Celtic is a great club."
Former Celtic manager Neil Lennon, Northern Ireland manager Michael O'Neill and former Celtic player Roy Keane are also among the frontrunners for the job.
