Northern Irish presenter Colin Murray has announced that he is quitting radio station talkSPORT.
It comes after Rupert Murdoch's NewsCorp, which owns The Sun among other publications, purchased the Wireless Group which previously oversaw the station.
Murray took to Twitter to announce that those developments had made his own position untenable:

The broadcaster, who also briefly presented BBC's Match of the Day 2 between 2010 and 2013, signed off with #JFT96 in reference to the 96 Liverpool fans who lost their lives in the Hillsborough tragedy.
The Sun has been the subject of a boycott by many Liverpool fans due to the way Hillsborough was covered at the time by the tabloid.
Murray has been a fan of the Reds since childhood.
