Make no bones about it. Roma were the better team at the Etihad and deserved to get more than a draw against Manchester City.
ESPN soccer writer John Brewin spoke to Off The Ball after the 1 - 1 draw to put another disappointing European performance for Man City in perspective.
"Roma did a number on them. Roma were happy, you could see Ashley Cole talking. He seemed as happy as Ashley Cole could get, let's put it that way," said Brewin, who praised Frank Lampard's impact and spoke about the possibility of him staying on at City beyond his the current terms of his loan.

"They've got to beat CSKA home and away and rely on results. The final group game is away at the Stadio Olimpico which is not an easy trip for anybody. And they're pretty much relying on that fixture. That fixture at the beginning of December is already the biggest date in City's season."
Spanish football writer Dermot Corrigan also analysed Barcelona's 3 - 2 defeat at PSG - the first loss for a Blaugrana side which has also had a strong defensive record so far this season.
He analysed Lionel Messi's new deep role which sees him taking on a more playmaking role, picked out Edinson Cavani as having a "shocker" for PSG and how Luis Enrique has tried to shore up the Barca defence by defending higher up the pitch.
