Celtic’s Europa League match tonight against Astra Giurgiu could still be postponed, despite an earlier assertion that the game would go ahead. It is being said that the match may be started by the referee but then immediately posptoned until 11am tomorrow morning.
Whatever the case, Republic of Ireland striker Anthony Stokes will not take to the field after being sent home from Glasgow airport with a sort throat.
Potency could become an issue for the Hoops, with James Forrest and Kris Commons also on the injury list while the in-form John Guidetti has not travelled to Romania; he’s ineligible to play.
The teams for the match, which kicks-off at 6pm, were announced a short time ago and here’s how they look:
Astra Giurgiu: Lung; Pliatsikas, Youssef, Oro, Marais; Laban, Yahaya; Enache, Budescu, Joaozinho; Bukari. Subs: Coman, Florescu, Seto, Chitu, Gaman, Rus, Amorim.
Celtic: Gordon; Lustig, Denayer, Van Dijk, Izaguirre; Brown, Mulgrew; McGregor, Johansen, Wakaso; Scepovic. Subs: Zaluska, Matthews, Ambrose, Biton, Tonev, Griffiths, Kayal.
