A game between Herzilya and Ahi Nazareth in Israel had some farcical stretcher usage as the injured player was left to be carried off the field by his captain.
Moamen Saleh went down with an innocuous leg injury before the helpers ran onto the field. The signs were not good from the start and it appeared as though their routine was unprepared and neither men looked comfortable with their stretcher game. Saleh's captain had to come to the rescue and carry his team-mate off the field to the embarrassment of the stretcher-carriers.
The question is, do Greece or Israel have the worst stretcher-carriers in world football? The same thing happened in October, this time in Greece, when a player was thrown around like a rag-doll as he sought attention. Ergotelis midfielder Leonardo Koutri was manhandled by the 'helpers' as they fell not once but twice on the way to the sideline before throwing him on the ground and leaving him to his own devices.
