Hull City boss Steve Bruce has told Paul McShane to apologise if he wants to resume training with the Tigers' first-team squad.
The Republic of Ireland international has been out of favour this season and relations with his club manager appear to have deteriorated to the extent that the 28-year-old has been sent to train with the under-21s.
McShane has also been retweeting supporter comments about his continued exile.
Bruce said: “Paul knows exactly why he’s training with the under-21 squad at the moment. He’s been quite quick to reveal that he is in there.
“I hope that he comes out and tells the reason that he is in there. And if he apologies to meself and the squad, then he will come back into the fold. It's entirely up to Paul."
