Dundalk were drawn in Group D of the Europa League on Friday afternoon.
Stephen Kenny's side will face Russia's Zenit St. Petersburg, AZ Alkmaar from the Netherlands and Israel's Maccabi Tel-Aviv. While the three opponents are not among the glamour trips many Dundalk fans may have wanted, there is still plenty to see in all three cities.
Saint Petersburg
Although a trip to Russia in Winter, may not be the most ideal, there will be loads to keep the Dundalk fans occupied in Russia. The Palace Square is one of the main meeting points in the city. The name is a giveaway as fans will be able to see the famous Winter Palace.
Saint Petersburg is also home to numerous theatres. Dundalk fans will be able to add some culture to their itinerary by going to the ballet or to one of the many musicals in the city. The Mariinsky Theatre is one of the biggest in Russia.
The city also has many bridges to see that cross the Neva. The Palace Bridge is among the most famous.

Tel Aviv/Netanya
Maccabi have played their home European games in Netanya (35 minutes north of Tel Aviv) so Dundalk fans may have two cities to travel to on the Mediterranean.
The Dundalk fans can head straight to the beach if they wish in Tel Aviv. The Israeli city has 16 different beaches for the fans to choose from.
The Old Port in Jaffa is also popular. The area is still a working port, but is full of restaurants and bars for the Dundalk supporters to enjoy.
For fans staying in Netanya, the city has many parks including the Iris Reserve, where fans can go and relax.

Alkmaar
Although it may look like the least appealing of the three trips, Dundalk fans may enjoy life in Alkmaar.
The city is home to a museum dedicated solely to The Beatles. The museum is a labour of love from Azing Moltmaker and has exhibits including personal items donated by Ringo, Paul, John and George.
Alkmaar is also home to the Dutch Cheese Museum and the National Beer Museum so there is plenty of food and drink to keep the fan's stomachs full.
