Manchester United’s inconsistent season continued as Mikel Arteta earned his first victory as Arsenal manager.
It was the Spaniard’s first victory since taking over in the Emirates hot seat as his side moved to 10th in the Premier League table.
Ole Solksjaer’s Manchester United looked fragile after another jekyll and hyde like performance.
Pepe opened the scoring on eight minutes with a well-taken goal after Kolsanic pulled back the ball on the line and the French player fired home.
David DeGea's dissapointing form continued on 42 minutes as Arsenal bagged a second.
Sokratis fired home a volley off a corner after De Gea pushed a flick on from Lacazette straight into the Greek player’s path to make it 2-0 just before the interval.

It was 2-0 at the break and in all honesty Arsenal could have been further ahead with some slack defensive performances from United’s back-four.
Lacklustre United have lost three of their last four away Premier League games against Arsenal (1 win) and the inconsistent trend continued with Solksjaer’s side showing moments of threat in the second-period but couldn’t do enough to penetrate a rejuvenated Arsenal defence under Arteta.
Lucas Torreira looked like Arsenal’s best player in the second-half. The Uruguay international organised and was box-to-box in the second-half.
He martialed the midfield well ahead of an organised Arsenal back-four under the former Manchester City assistant.
