It's rumoured that the arrival of Moussa Sissoko at Tottenham Hotspur, could pose a direct threat for Christian Eriksen at the club.
Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino was visibly frustrated with Eriksen during their 1-0 win over Crystal Palace and was heard to shout 'press' at the Danish player before replacing him with just over 20 minutes to go. Issues with his performance also surfaced against Liverpool and could have been replaced earlier in the game, had Pochettino more options to choose from.
Eriksen's form at the Premier League club has been unpredictable since his arrival in 2013 but must still hold a place in Pochettino's plans, giving the role that the Argentine played in resolving Eriksen's contract dispute with the club.
He's now expected to sign a new four-year deal with the club after the international break where he may well be given the opportunity to play himself back into Pochettino's good graces in their next Premier League clash with Stoke.
