Andriy Shevchenko is the new manager of the Ukrainian national team, taking over from Mykhaylo Fomenko.
The 39-year-old refused the job back in 2012, but takes the mantle now and looks set to lead his country into the World Cup qualifiers this fall.
Shevchenko, who was captain of the side and the country's record goalscorer with 48 goals in 111 international appearances, will come up against Croatia, Turkey, Finland and Kosovo in Group I.
The 2004 Ballon d'Or winner was assistant to Fomenko and is looking to improve on their Euro 2016 performance where they failed to win a single game.
Former Italy defender Mauro Tassotti, who was assistant coach when Shevchenko was at Milan joins his coaching staff.
He signs a two-year deal with the option of a further two after that.
