Fans of Ajax have taken a novel way of honouring Johan Cruyff by buying 14 of the club's share on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange.
The club's share price briefly spiked on Thursday when the news of Cruyff's death was revealed. The Amsterdam Stock Exchange's website regularly shows the day's transactions of each company. It's clear to see the pattern in shares bought for the Dutch club on Thursday.

Ajax's share price opened at €8.421 on Thursday morning, before peaking at €8.754. It closed for the day at €8.432, an increase of 0.13%.
Cruyff was a legend at the club as both a player and manager. In his playing days, Cryuff helped the team to eight Eredivisie titles, five Dutch Cups and three European Cups in two spells. As a manager, he led the side to two Dutch Cups and a Cup Winner's Cup.
