Wasps have confirmed that they are in talks with Leinster's Jimmy Gopperth.
The club's director of rugby, Dai Young, has revealed that the 31-year-old out-half is being lined-up to replace Andy Goode at the end of the season.
Gopperth is set to leave Leinster when Johnny Sexton returns from Racing Metro in the summer and Wasps have indicated that they want their recruitment drive for next season to be completed by the end of January.
Leinster still have to travel to face Wasps in a potential Pool 2 decider in the European Rugby Champions Cup at the Ricoh Arena on January 24th.
