Former Leinster and Ireland lock Trevor Hogan believes Leo Cullen is best placed to guide the province through a tough season to come.
The former captain is being heavily linked with the head coach vacancy, and Hogan told Off The Ball that the current Leinster forwards coach is "really suited to it" and a good option to fill the gap left by Matt O'Connor's departure.
"It looks like they probably sounded out a few other people but in the end Leo makes sense, especially looking at the kind of season they're facing into," said Trevor.
"It just brings back the rashness of getting rid of Matt O'Connor but the difficulty of the season ahead with the World Cup and this horrible Champions Cup draw. It's going to be a very hard year is best placed to manage that and get them through it."
