Tough draws for the Irish provinces in the Champions Cup

The three Irish provinces have all been give tough draws in next seasons European Champions Cup.

Leinster have been drawn against last seasons quarter final and semi final opponents in Bath and Paul O'Connell's Toulon. They have also been drawn with Wasps.

Ulster have two trips to France. They are in Pool 1 along with Toulouse, Oyonnax and English champions Saracens.

Munster were drawn as second seeds against French champions Stade Francais, Leicester Tigers and Pro12 compatriots Treviso.

The five pool winners along with the three best runners up will make the quarter finals.

The tournament is due to begin, later than usual in November, due to the Rugby World Cup.

It was also announced at the draw that next years final is to take place for the first time in Lyon, France with the 2017 final to take place in Murrayfield.

Pool 1: Saracens, Ulster, Toulouse, Oyonnax.

Pool 2: Clermont Auvergne, Ospreys, Exeter Chiefs, Bordeaux-Begles.

Pool 3: Glasgow Warriors, Northampton Saints, Racing 92, Scarlets.

Pool 4: Stade Francais, Munster, Leicester Tigers, Treviso.

Pool 5: Bath, Toulon, Leinster, Wasps.
