Tickets for Lions Tour almost sold out

With just over 100 days to go before the Lions Tour kicks-off in New Zealand this summer, organisers have confirmed that over 75% of all tickets have been sold.

All three test matches are sold out with limited tickets available for the the regional matches, Super Rugby games and the clash with the Maori All Blacks.

Nigel Cass, the NZR General Manager of the DHL NZ Lions Series 2017, said: “Clearly interest in the once-in-a-decade event is high with more than 150,000 entries in the ballot for Test match tickets and we’re confident we’re on track to fill stadiums throughout the country.

“Tickets for the Tests and the Crusaders match on 10 June are no longer available and several ticket categories across all venues are already exhausted. The clear message is don’t leave it too late to buy tickets for the matches still on sale.

“It’s a good position to be in with 107 days to go until the Series kicks-off and the planning for the 10 matches and arrival of the Lions team and supporters shifting up a gear," he added.

The Lions last toured New Zealand in 2005 and were comprehensively outplayed by their hosts who went on to win the series 3-0.
